1968-06 (~1971-12) My Family’s ‘Ga Tech’ Years in Atlanta … [Charles’ Life-Story Series, A Photo-essay Memoir (회고록)]

I left Seoul, Korea in the summer of 1968 to pursue my graduate work at ‘Georgia Tech’ (Ga Institute of Technology) in Atlanta. My wife and son, 18 months old then, joined me in the fall to start our new family life in Atlanta. After getting a master’s degree, I worked in a faculty position as an assistant research engineer in the School of Textiles at Tech for two years. During that time our second child, a southern belle, was born. After three and a half years in Atlanta, we left for Clemson, South Carolina, for me to seek a doctorate degree in Textile and Polymer Science at Clemson University.
